A few days ago the WTO made the special call by COVID19 where the possibility of those software solutions that allow the realization of private electronic medical prescriptions to obtain, through a simplified procedure, the approval of a private electronic medical prescription for the period that the state lasts, is raised. alert and 6 months later while opting for ordinary approval.

The technical requirements document explains the main flow that this software must implement to obtain the temporary approval in the first instance, which is:

The resolution of the communication and access services, from the O.F. through the collegiate pharmaceutical network and Nodofarma, and even the corresponding Prescription Platforms. These services allow the consultation of prescriptions and active prescriptions in the corresponding prescription repository for each request for dispensing of a patient, and the marking of them once the dispensing has been carried out.
Cancellation, which includes:
Identification of the patient in the O.F.
The internal logic of the annulment itself by the O.F.
The resolution of the communication and access services, from the O.F. through the collegiate pharmaceutical network and Nodofarma, and even the corresponding Prescription Platforms. These services allow the consultation of the prescriptions and prescriptions dispensed in the corresponding Prescription Platform for each cancellation request of a patient, and the unmarking of them once the cancellation has been made.
Substitution, which includes: o Identification of the patient in the O.F.
The internal logic of the substitution by the O.F.
The resolution of the communication and access services, from the O.F. through the pharmaceutical school network and NodoFarma, and even the corresponding Prescription Platforms. These services allow the consultation of prescriptions and active prescriptions in the corresponding Prescription Platform for each request for dispensing a patient, and the substitution of one product for another and dispensing of the same.
All of them with their use cases corresponding to the ordinary homologation. In other words, the interoperability in only 3 endpoints that NODOFARMA called from each approved system, also eliminating the management of mutuals, as well as the two phases and external auditing that I usually carry out for my clients. We are facing a simplified homologation but at the same time it is an opportunity for many consultancies for the development of electronic private medical prescription solutions to homologate their solution in a simpler way and start the path to ordinary homologation.
